Amavasai 2021
The lunar phase of no moon in Sanskrit is called Amavasai. The dark moon tithi is when the moon is at 12 degrees angular angulation between sun and moon conjugation. That is why the moon is invisible on this day at night. It is believed that black magic, evil spirits or spirits are more powerful than positive power. Consequently there are many reports of death in unacceptable manner that have occurred and recorded as complaints in many regions. So, people who are weaker get affected more commonly than strong people.
Pournami 2021
This is just the opposite of Amavasai. Pournami is the full moon day. On this day the moon comes in a straight line with the sun and the Earth. This comes between two lunar fortnights every month. During this month many Hindu festivals such as Hanuman Jayanthi, Guru pournami, etc.

The following calendar is the current year calendar and daily the good and bad timings can be noticed in the calendar. This is the reason why we will want the calendar. Everytime we cannot go for a panchangam, as it is like an encyclopedia. In Tamil culture, there is an extended bond between this calendar and human daily activities. That is why it is believed that in their life most of the things are successful. As sometimes or in few most of the times it is true. What do you think of this belief? Do you have something like this?
